Little India and of course more beaches

Caitlyn and I spent basically all of Tuesday on the beach. We went up to Batu Ferringgi, the northern part of the island, and attempted to hike in the jungle. However, Caitlyn was not feeling well, and when we sat down to drink some water and eat a snack, we were attacked by monkeys (an ongoing theme, I know), we decided to scrap that idea and go lay on the beach. We found a hotel and lay on their chairs for a bit, but were approached by the guard after about two hours, and as it turns out we are both bad liars. So we left and went to the next hotel, which we reached just in time for happy hour, so we got some juice and sat by their pool. After that, we ate dinner and spent a long time at the night market that is in that area. It is huge and has basically everything you could want. Caitlyn bought a bunch of souveniers and I got some more DVDs. Our bargaining skills were pretty impressive.

For Caitlyn's last night here, we went to "Little India" in Georgetown where they have many Sari shops, and Indian jewelery, and of course Indian food. We got henna tattoos and walked around and had delicious Indian food. Then we met my friend Kit for a drink and headed home. The area of Little India looks very similar to real India (except with paved roads and no cows), and I loved walking through it. The stores were all so colorful and played Indian music and sold tons of Indian sweets. It was a bit nostalgic!
